Refund policy

 

At Layers & Foundations, we create premium products and custom-manufactured solutions with care and precision. Because our store includes both standard retail items and made-to-order/custom fabrication services, the following return policy applies.

Returns for Standard Products

We accept returns on eligible standard products within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is:

  • Unused and in original condition

  • Returned in original packaging

  • Free from signs of wear, damage, or misuse

Examples of standard return-eligible items may include non-custom accessories, stocked retail products, and select ready-made items.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable unless damaged or defective upon arrival:

  • Custom 3D printed / made-to-order products

  • Personalized or modified items

  • Prototype / fabrication service orders

  • Digital design, CAD, or consultation services

  • Final sale / clearance items

Fishing Rod / Outdoor Gear Returns

Fishing rods and related outdoor products may be returned only if:

  • They are unused and unassembled

  • Returned in original packaging

  • Show no signs of wear, water exposure, or field use

Used outdoor gear is not eligible for return unless defective.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photos of the issue

  • Brief description of the problem

We will review the claim and provide a replacement, store credit, or refund where appropriate.

Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected, approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Custom Project Deposits / Manufacturing Orders

Payments or deposits made toward custom design, fabrication, prototyping, or manufacturing projects are non-refundable once work or production has begun.

If canceled before production starts, partial refunds may be issued at our discretion.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless:

  • The product arrived damaged

  • The wrong item was sent

  • The item is confirmed defective

We recommend tracked shipping for all returns.
